Into the world of fungi: mycological excursion – ATIRA

|

About the event

ATIRA: this is an initiative that emphasises action and responsibility. The Ladin name refers to the urgent need for everyone to play their part in preserving the territory and building a more mindful and responsible future. Through activities, meetings, and opportunities for in-depth discussion, ATIRA promotes awareness and encourages the community to play an active role in protecting the Dolomites. The focus of this summer's meetings will be nature parks, mycology, and mountain rescue.

Mushrooms in our forests

From edible to poisonous to unusual and rare species: A huge variety of different fungi grow in our forests, contributing to the health and function of our habitats in many different ways. They are essential for healthy ecosystems – silent helpers that recycle nutrients, support trees, and make biodiversity possible.

Discover the mushrooms of our valley with us, right where they live – out in the forest, hidden in their secret places. During a walk with biologist Claudio Rossi, you will get to know a fascinating, mostly hidden world and learn why fungi are so important for our environment.
