LaBrassBanda (DE) – Bavaria’s brass rebels are back with a brand-new album and a spectacular tour! With their one-of-a-kind blend of brass, pop, techno and ska—spiced up with Bavarian charm and a hefty dose of punk attitude—they’ve revolutionised brass music and thrilled audiences in the millions. From “Habediehre” to “Übersee” and “Europa”, LaBrassBanda deliver hit after hit, turning their high-energy live shows into legendary parties.
What began in 2007 as a musical revolution in Bavaria—shaking up traditional gatekeepers while drawing crowds of young fans back to stages and clubs for brass music—had, by 2013 at the German Eurovision Song Contest preselection, taken the entire country by storm. Sold-out venues followed: from Berlin to Cologne, from Hamburg to Munich. Language barriers with lyrics in Bavarian dialect? None at all. Major festival stages, including Southside and Hurricane, were practically overrun when the band led by frontman Stefan Dettl lit up the night sky with its irresistible mix of brass-pop, hip-hop, punk and techno. Live, LaBrassBanda are a sure thing—and word spread quickly across Europe. In 2014, the classically trained musicians toured the UK in their nightliner, and today they’re an established force on all the major festival line-ups.
