SYMPHONY CONCERT, Sunday, 22 March 2026 |6:00 PM | Gustav Mahler Hall

ORCHESTRA GIOVANILE DELLA PROVINCIA DI BOLZANO

Fresh, charming, and full of fire: the newly founded LJOS (2024) is bringing a delightful whirlwind of energy to the local music scene! Under the masterful direction of Edwin Cáceres-Peñuela, youthful imagination meets serious artistic intent and a cosmopolitan, multilingual spirit. Their very first concerts already captivated audiences and earned enthusiastic reviews.

The orchestra arrives in Dobbiaco with two true strokes of good fortune: first, Benjamin Schmid, a violinist with an unmistakable musical profile; and second, the colorful work Big Bang, the latest opus by South Tyrolean composer Mathias Schmidhammer, which will celebrate its world premiere in this concert series.

In cooperation with the Provincial Music School Directorate and MUSIK MERAN
