About the event

On this guided hike, farmer Walter Theiner shares insights into life and work in the mountain environment. At selected points along the route, participants learn how farming practices have changed over time and what working in alpine terrain involves.



The tour highlights the physical effort required in the past as well as the challenges that still shape mountain farming today. It also illustrates how terrain, climate and altitude influence agricultural work and the quality of its products. The aim is to provide a deeper understanding of the everyday reality of mountain farmers and the unique character of the alpine cultural landscape.
