So you will never have heard traditional Christmas carols. Sometimes you can hear a warm three-part song reminiscent of an Allgäu Christmas room with a warm wooden stove. At other times, two pipes intertwine with complementary drum rhythms and rise to real metropolitan riffs. Boogie, Gospel, Bach - practically anything is possible here. Five extraordinary musicians stage an unparalleled crib.
Driven by malice and skill, the Moving Krippenspielers, led by jazz musician and multi-instrumentalist Matthias Schriefl, create a new version of the famous Christmas story, leaving plenty of room for creativity and interaction. Around thirty instruments, Christmas carols, costumes, songs and some folk dancing - these are the ingredients for this innovative and timeless nativity scene.
