The Salonorchester Südtirol will perform at the end of 2025 with a cheerful and reflective program, inspired by the famous New Year’s Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic.
The ensemble consists of 15 musicians from South Tyrol and plays works from the rich repertoire of the Strauss dynasty, as well as Franz Lanner, Franz Lehár, and J. Ph. Sousa.
Since 2015, the South Tyrolean musician Günther Ploner has appeared as standing violinist and host.
The well-known tenor Roman Pichler, originally from Brixen, enlivens the 2026 program with arias by W. A. Mozart, Robert Stolz, and Emmerich Kálmán.
Three musicians of the salon orchestra perform solo pieces: Günther Graber on trumpet, Christian Bertoncello on cello, and Werner Mayr on soprano saxophone.
A buffet will be served during the interval and is included in the ticket price.
