Haniger Schwaige

The Haniger Schwaige is probably one of the most popular alpine huts in the Val di Tires. Directly below the imposing vajolet towers of the Catinaccio, the original wooden cottage nestles in the picturesque landscape of the nature park at 1937 metres above sea level. Let the loving hosts of the huts greet you, breathe the fresh mountain air and enjoy your time in this little place, which makes everyone feel at ease.
The Haniger Schwaige is a particularly exciting place for children! Apart from the large alpine meadow around the hut and the countless playgrounds, the petting zoo provides the little hikers with plenty of entertainment. For refreshment after romping around, they can be surprised by the delicious dishes of the home cooking!
The opening hours of the Haniger Schwaige promise mountain fun in the Dolomites in summer and winter. During the Christmas holidays, from 26th December to 6th January, the winter hut is perfect for a unique excursion on snowshoes, skis or sledges. In summer the alpine hut is open from mid May to the beginning of November - the ideal destination for hikers or mountain bikers!
