Hofschank Brandhof

You will enjoy your stay with the Gerstgrasser family in the Brandhof mountain barn on Mount Tramontana. Here they rear their own animals, and make their own butter and cheese from fresh milk. Our cheeses are aged in our cellars before finding their way onto the plates of our guests. Those who have an interest in cheese making should visit the Brandhof on Wednesdays when we hold cheese tasting sessions.

Our jams and fruit juices are also home-made, and it goes without saying that we grow our own fresh vegetables. We only use locally sourced ingredients in our kitchens to create delicious traditional South Tyrolean dishes. We serve all kinds of knoedel, tasty cheese-based dishes, home-make cakes as well as the traditional roast on Sundays. If the weather is fine you can sit outside and enjoy the views of the mountains and valley, while on cold days you can sit in our cosy traditional Stuben".
