Silvesteralm / Malga San Silvestro hut

The recently modernised hut on the Alpe San Silvestro is located at an altitude of 1,800 m and offers stunning views across the valley. The hut offers Tyrolean cuisine from local produce. You can reach the Rifugio Alpe San Silvestro via the Rifugio Lachwiesen (hiking path No. 1A) or via the Valle San Silvestro (turn right after the Ristorante Genziana - hiking path No. 1). From Alpe San Silvestro you can continue your hike to the Rifugio Bonner or the Corno di Fana. Near the Alpine pasture there is the chapel Cappella di San Silvestro, which is well worth seeing. The hut is also easily reached by mountain bike and a good resting place before continuing on the Stoneman trail up to Cornetto di Confine.
