The Aurino river has become well known among lovers of white-water rafting

The Aurino runs steeply through the Aurina Valley first, then along the flat Valle Aurina di Tures, past Brunico at 815 m above sea level, and eventually flows into the Rienza. The Aurino is 50 km long, and has a volume of 629 km2. Its main tributaries are the Torrente Riva and the Rio di Selva. The Aurino is ideal for river rafting adventures. These glacier-fed crystal waters wind through canyons and rapids among breath-taking scenery.
