This church was first mentioned in 1311.
The entire interior is frescoed and here art-lovers can admire mural paintings of the Bozen School which were completed in 1410. The architecture of the writing desks and chairs of the Evangelists reveals the influence of the contemporary Veronese art style.

Approach
Take highway's exit “Bolzano Nord/Eggental”, turn right direction Bolzano/Bozen, after about 0,5 km on roundabout keep left and head towards Val d’Ega (SS 241). Keep driving up to Ponte Nova. At Ponte Nova’s crossroads, turn to the right and continue to Nova Ponente (about 25 min. from highway toll booth). Go right before the Hotel Pfösl and follow the street.
