Lake Valdurna - Durnholzer See
Lake Valdurna was allegedly created by a landslide on the north-west side of the valley. The lake is triangular and is fed by Lake Rio and the Großalmbach, as well as by other underwater springs. The water pours into the Rio Valdurna, which in turn flows into the Talvera. This oligotrophic lake has very little aquatic vegetation or biologically useful nutrients. From here numerous hikes and skiing treks lead into into the mountains of the Sarentino Valley.
