Meran 2000 Funicular - Telescope Trail No. 2, Hafling

The Telescopes it is meant to focus solely on a single building. The eye-catcher is the summit station of the Meran 2000 funicular.
Another telescope is installed on the hiking trail n. 2 (from Hafling/Avelengo in direction to the Wurzer Alm Mountain Hut) and provides a good view on the new summit station of the Meran 2000 funicular.

The Telescopes cannot rotate: it is meant to focus solely on a single building.



Tips
The spectacular cable car, designed by the South Tyrolean architect Roland Baldi, has been honored with several architectural awards. It conveys 120 people per cabin directly to the Merano 2000 ski and hiking area in seven minutes.

Approach
Coming from both directions of the freeway Meran/Merano - Bolzano/Bozen (MEBO), take the exit of Meran Süd/Merano Sud and follow directions towards Meran first, to then turn right towards Hafling/Avelengo, follow the street until the parking lot in Hafling Dorf village (below the parish church). Follow trail no. 2 to the Wurzer Alm Mountain hut (about 1,5 hours).

With the bus until the bus stop "Hafling Dorf", follow the way no. 2 to the Wurzer Alm Mountain Hut (about 1,5 hours):

- Bus no. 204 "Hafling - Vöran - Mölten - Terlan - Bozen"
