ruins of the rocca di Collepietra
The ruins of the Rocca di Collepietra, of which only the outer walls survive, are one of the most interesting sites in Alto Adige. They are in fact the ruins of castels with a twofold purpose: one part was residential, the other was for defence. They are located on the outskirts of the town on a ridge and were built between the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, on the ruins of another fortress (Wallburganlage).
