Used by professionals for training purposes, the 9m high ice-climbing tower at the Hotel Waldheim in Val Martello, is also open for beginners - they can test their skills and learn the rudiments of the sport, before attempting the real thing.

Approach
Along the state road until Coldrano in the Venosta Valley, at the roundabout in the direction Val Martello, past the village Morter and further into Val Martello. Or by train to Coldrano and then by bus into Val Martello.
