754. Round Lake Cavedine (All Mountain) - Description
From a technical point of view, the route develops largely on secondary roads and cycle paths: a mostly traffic free experience being one of the benefits. The final part of the gravel road, which leads from Monte Taglio di Sarca to the lake, does not present any particular technical difficulties. In fact, the only real challenging parts can be found when ascending on the sometimes rather pronounced and unstable terrain.

Start
Lake Cavedine - Trebi
The route’s start point is at the southern end of Lake Cavedine, in the locality of Trebi. Leaving in a northerly direction, following the asphalt road that runs along the stretch of water. Beyond the lake, continue straight ahead until you meet the signs for Pietramurata. Follow them, turning left and crossing the river, where you’ll find yourself on Via Cavedine, follow on this road toward the centre of the village.
Just before reaching the church, turn left - guided by the route signs for the Gaggio cycle path. Join it and continue on in the direction of Dro, until arriving at Monte Taglio di Sarca. The directions of the route here lead you to abandon the cycle path following an alternative path to your left. The initial stretch undulates through the undergrowth with stable enough, but quite large, pronounced rocks.
Once you have the lake in your sights, the descent that leads to the water level begins. Pass an old building - which used be a part of local power plant and follow the dirt track that runs along the lake, to find the route starting point. -

required equipment
Riding your bike requires specific clothing and equipment, even for relatively short and easy trips. It is always better to be prepared… e.g. for bad weather or a drop your energy levels. The unexpected things also make up a part of the fun! Remember to throughly evaluate the type of route you plan to do, the locations you plan to cross and the current season. Has it been raining? Attention: The paths may be slippery and require more caution. What do I need to bring on my bike tour? An adequate water supply according to your needs (considering temperature, possibility of refuelling and duration of the route) Plenty of snacks (for example, dried fruit or energy bars) Waterproof / Windproof jacket. A spare top / spare socks. (Descending in a sweaty garment, will make you cold) Suncream Sunglasses Bike gloves/mitts Map or GPS device Bike lights: best placed on your helmet or handlebars. (It is always best to be prepared) Bike repair kit for punctures and mechanical breakdowns First aid kit Emergency whistle It is always advised to let someone know where you plan to go and how long you expect to be. Emergency telephone number 112
Tips for the tour
If you’d like to lengthen the route further, it can be combined with the 751 Jurassic Marocche route - extending to south of Lake Cavedine.
