820 - Folgaria - Costa - Francolini - Description

A beautiful and relaxing tour starting from the Western side of Folgaria and taking to Costa, passing through the 17th building named Maso Spilzi, the greens of the Golf Course (18 holes), the Ecken environmental protected area, Francolini and returning to Folgaria along the provincial road. It develops along paved road and easy dirt road.
Maso Spilzi, a baffling building, like a fortress home. We get off our MTB, and direct our gaze to the walkway (chemins de rondes), which allowed defenders to move quickly around the defenses. We enter in the lighted hayloft, nowadays a place for exhibitions. Near the corner, there is also a restaurant (have a look to the menu!) and a beautiful courtyard, where to have a break in the fresh air. In front of us, there is the 18 holes Golf course, one of the most beautiful in Trentino. Than we get on the bike, through the green on a dirt road… what a peaceful area! Moreover, here there is the protected environmental area of Ecken, which used to be an old sea in ancient time. Beautiful nature, fresh air coming from the forests and quietness is all what you need.
