A spectacular ring of Folgaria, a part of the trail where the important international “100 km dei forti” bike race takes place. A demanding trail requires good technical skills. It has many historical, natural and panoramic points of interests
This is a part of the spectacular ring of the 100 Km dei Forti (an important and well-known MTB competition) in the area of Lavarone. It is an itinerary through beautiful places in the hearth of the Alpe Cimbra and the Trentino, for example from Slaghenaufi. It is funny to get down from the wood of the Tablat and the passo Cost to the Forte Belvedere, the fortress-museum. It is exciting the route around the lake of Lavarone, even around the mount Rust and… last but not least the climb to the old observatory of the Austro-Hungarian Army, where you can direct your gaze far away…

    Lavarone

    The start point of this trail is located in Lavarone Chiesa. Following the road signs, you can reach the residential areas of Stengheli and Bertoldi. Passing through the upland of Tablat, you will arrive in the typical village of Slaghenaufi. You can then continue along the right side of the Rio Torto Valley, reaching Passo del Cost (1292 m.). From here follow the road until the Fort Belvedere Gschwent (1177 m.), a museum of the First World War; once you have visited the fort, you can continue the path reaching the residential areas of Oseli and Masi di Sotto. You will continue through fields and woods and then the path leads you to Pra di Sopra, passing through to the wonderful Lavarone Lake.
    After you have crossed the grazing land of Elbele (near the village of Virti), you will immediately reach the Austro-Hungarian Command. From there you can come back in Lavarone-Chiesa following the north-west side of the path.
