845 - Toraro Ring - Description

Beautiful and panoramic itinerary developing around the Toraro mountain. It takes to Valbona and goes back to Lago Coe - Coe Lake - . Breathtaking views over the Veneto-Vicentine valleys.
At some stage along the trail, it seems that over the horizons the world ends. If you look further ahead you see the Vicentine valleys and on the background the village of Asiago. The trail develops along a variety of wide lands and breathtaking views between the Trentino and Veneto regions. It is a special and unusual environment. The trail goes around the Toraro Mountain, a boundary mountain between the Austro Hungarian empire and the Italian kingdom, where many battles of the First World War were fought and that become a radar station during the Cold War. Mountain goats, deers and eagles might be unusual friends accompanying you during the tour. It is recommended to visit Base Tuono near Coe Lake and to take a refreshing break at the Hangar Bar.

From the round about in Eastern Folgaria, follow the sings for Fondo Grande – Fondo Piccolo – Passo Coe. When you get there to Passo Coe, proceed for 1 km to Lago Coe – Coe lake.
Next to Lago Coe (Coe lake), there is a big free parking area. During the summer, the Hangar Bar is open.
