Directions

  • Start

    Malga Ces

From the Caserota of Malga Ces you descend toward San Martino di Castrozza along the beautiful path through the woods. Once you reach the Valcigolera forest road you proceed following the signs for San Martino to a junction: from here, by turning right, you go up the forest road until the bridge that crosses the Cigolera river. Before the bridge, the Sentiero Heidi (Heidi Path) begins, which directly leads to the Malga Cigolera.
Once at the Malga, you go up the ski slope for a few hundred meters and you enter the Sentiero della Pace (Path of Peace) as indicated by the signs, in the direction of Malga Ces, until you reach the Record track. Once on the track, on the right side of this, you will find the signs for the Sentiero del Cervo (Deer Path) leading downwards to Malga Ces.
From the Malga, you take the uphill Sentiero del Cielo (Sky’s Path), and when this intersects the Path of Peace, continue on the latter, which leads to Colbricon pass and then to the lakes of Colbricon. From the lakes you still go down towards Malga Ces through the path under the Cavallazza; then you climb up again towards the Piani della Cavallazza and then go down to Villa Pisoni towards Malga Fosse di Sotto. From here, you back to Malga Ces through the forest gardens.
