Directions

  • Start

    Rifugio Velo della Madonna

From the Velo della Madonna Hut, go up to Cima della Stanga (2.550 m.a.s.l.) along the 742 path (also called “del Cacciatore” path)  walking down the Val Pradidali under the impressive eastern face of Sass Maor. Once you get to the spot called Pedemonte (also “Pòrtela” 1.627 m.a.s.l.) follow the 709 path towards the ruins of Malga Pradidali (1.428 m.a.s.l.) to finally reach Malga Canali (1.302 m.a.s.l.). Continue on the forest road and follow the trail sign number 707 up to an altitude of 1.428 metres; from here, climb up to Treviso “Canali” Hut (1.634 m.a.s.l.).
Possible variation: an option to fill your day once you get to the Treviso “Canali” Hut, is to climb on the nearby via ferrata called “del Canalone”, just 5 minutes far from the Hut, the 720 path will then lead you back to the Hut in about 2 hours.
