Dreiländertour Ofenpass - Description

A enjoyable racing bike side trip through the Lower Engadine and the Oberes Gericht
Via Mals and Taufers im Münstertal we are approaching  the heart of the Swiss National Park, passing the world cultural heritage Saint John Abbey and leaving on the left the pass Umbrail. Passing wonderful, small Latin shaped villages like Sta. Maria and Tschierv at the beginning, while reaching the rise to the Ofenpass (2,150 m). We pick up great scenic impressions passing the meadows, woods, hiking starting points, the Lai da Ova Spin, impressiv gulches and the customs post Livigno (small climb) to Zernez (1,475 m).

We follow the roaring river Inn mainly downwards to Scuol (1,250 m) and enjoy the landscape and houses of the Lower Engadine until the Swiss-Austrian border to St. Martina (1,050 m). Here we get to our last turn of the tour and to a trip to Austria up to the Norbertshöhe (1,400 m) towards Nauders. At the pass Reschen (1,509 m) we catch sight of the lake with the nearly same name and the tower, where it´s time to make a stop. From Reschen and Graun to St. Valentin and behind the Haidersee on the bike path with view of king Ortler towards Burgeis and Mals.
