  Ponciach (Faver-Altavalle)
  
  From the parking place on the side of the little lakes at the entrance of hamlet Ponciach follow path 415A. It is the paved road (then cobbled) climbing on the side of the house in front of the parking place. Continue to the crossroads just above the small wooden fountain. From there follow the gravel road on the right going flat into the wood and the road signs to the lake Lago di  Valda. Pass the crossroads to Noval-Lovara staying on the road on the left road and go straight until you reach a second crossroads. Follow the road climbing on the left and the road signs for Cima Castion, passing in front of a hut in the wood. Just after the hut take the road going up on the left and continue to the top. The way to is the same as the way back.

Tips for the tour

On the top of the peak Castion there is a small altar with a little bell. People climbing to the top are encouraged to ring it before enjoying the silence and the landscape. The most beautiful time is the sunset time when the sun goes down behind the peaks of Brenta range.

To drive here from Trento, you need to follow the main road S.S. 612 north to Faver. At the entrance of the town follow the signs toward Ponciach which is 3,5 km away from there. To drive here from the valley Val di Fiemme, you need to follow the main road S.S. 612 to Faver. Pass the tunnel and at roundabout drive back to the town. At the entrance of the town follow the signs toward Ponciach which is 3,5 km away from there.
