Die Wanderung führt vom Parkplatz am Hofmahdjoch (1.785 m) über den Wanderweg Nr. 8 und weiter über den Wanderweg Nr. 24 bis zur Gampen Alm. Diese ist zudem über eine Forststraße leicht erreichbar.
