Hike to the Rifugio Treviso - Description
Directions

Start
Restaurant Cant del Gal
From the fork at Sabionade near the Rifugio Cant del Gal, you follow the road on the valley floor of the lovely Val Canali, which takes you to the ‘malga’ (mountain hut) of the same name and then, along the forestry road as far as Pian delle Lede. An excellent mule path takes you up into the wood in the shadow of tall beech trees until you reach the Rifugio Treviso, located right at the base of the Sass d’Ortiga with the Pala del Rifugio which is a popular destination for climbers. On the way back, you can also opt for this alternative: route 718 which stays up high and gives you a wonderful view of the Pala Cristoforo, Cima dei Lastei e Pala dei Colombi peaks. Indeed, whereas the outward route runs along the valley floor, this second route goes through woods and rocks with several ups and downs, but allowing you to stay at the top. You reach the town of Campigòl dell'Oltro where you join up with the Troi dei Todeschi which you take in the direction of the valley as far as the junction with route 707, which you took on the outward route, following the left-hand side of the river. From here, you descend towards the valley, back to where your started. -
