It is the most frequented and known Mount of the Plateau, but also a place remebered by many for the events occurred during the First World War (Battle of Ortigara, 1917). It still preserves proofs and monuments like the half column located on the peak.
Without any doubt, this path is the most complete and meaningful itinerary to visit the battleheld of Ortigara stage of some  of the bloodiest battles fight during the First World War on the Italian front line.

Directions

self-arranged arrival
From the Valsugana highway 47, take the exit for Primolano-Enego and once the village of Enego is reached, at the junction follow the directions for Val Maron up to Rifugio Marcesina. After 1 km follow the directions for Malga Fossetta and Piazzale Lozze (about 1.45 hors from Borgo Valsugana). For the transit permit holders, it is possible to come by car from Grigno up.
