La via del Bosco - Description

Excursion that takes place entirely downhill in the cool of the woods with beautiful views, to discover the typical animals of the mountain.
Up up and up with the Cermis lifts, up to 2000 meters, where the forest hides deer, roe deer, black grouse and ... what else? You ca discover it on the panels and with the installations that you can find along the Via del Bosco; over 7 km of comfortable forest road to walk with curiosity and spirit of observation. Make sure you have plenty of time, because on arrival the Cermislandia playground and the Adventure Park with acrobatic paths on the trees will inevitably seduce your children!

    Alpe Cermis

    Arrived at Alpe Cermis, take the dirt road on the right, which, passing in front of the hotels, immediately begins to descend. You pass under the chairlift ropes and continue to the right. The route continues with wide curves up to a crossroads where you turn left (table L09A). Arrived at the Prafiorì chair lift, follow the signs "Via del Bosco", entering the dense forest. Along the way you find the silhouettes of animals in real size and panels that explain the characteristics of fauna and flora. You reach then a special mill ... pull the rope and listen ...
    At the end of the descent you reach Dos dei Laresi cableway station with the Cermislandia playground.

Tips for the tour

The route is suitable for children over 6 years, not because of the difficulty but because of its length. Smaller ones can be carried in the country stroller. There are no fountains with drinking water along the way.

Drive to Cavalese and follow the directions to "Funivie Alpe Cermis". If you are on the road on the valley floor, the lift station is between Masi di Cavalese and the waterfall.
Several parking lots are available next to the lift station.

You can reach Cavalese with the public busses of Trentino Trasporti.
