Madonna di Campiglio – Malga Boch – Rifugio Graffer - Description

Trekking from Passo Campo Carlo Magno a Rifugio Graffer surrounded by the Brenta Dolomites

Directions

  • Start

    Madonna di Campiglio – Loc. Pozza Vecia (1763 m / 5784 ft)

Start off at Pozza Vecia locality, slightly north of the town of Madonna di Campiglio. After leaving the car, follow the forest road along the ski piste. Climb up in this way until you reach the Pozza Bella esplanade at 1937 m. Here there is a crossroads at which you must turn right towards the visible mountain dairy, the profile of which is set against the horizon in a south-east direction.
Keep following the forest road until you reach the dairy building rising behind it.
Go to the back of the dairy and follow the trail (ignore the crossroads to the right that belongs to the Dolomiti di Brenta Bike itinerary) marked by visible stakes driven into the ground.
Follow the trampled trail that crosses through the green pastures and you will quickly reach the charming Spinale lake.
Leave the small lake on your right and walk up to a sign panel (bearing the text "Lago Spinale") and turn left flowing the indications for trail No. 331 “Rifugio Graffer".
After crossing wonderful glades offering spectacular views of the Brenta range, the trail leads under the Grostè cabinway ropes up to Rifugio Graffer, the excursion’s natural rest point.
Return along the forest road that travels over the ski piste and reaches the Boch restaurant-snack bar (2070 m). From there, follow the forest road or the track along the ski piste back to the departure point.
