Queen Gardens tour - Description

Amazing excursion on gravel tracks and easy rocks on the foot of Pietra Grande mountain. Interesting geological and botanical aspects along the path.
The "Orto della Regina" (Garden of the Queen) is one of the most stunning natural terraces of the entire Brenta Group, so named because legend has it that a queen and her entourage came here and planted flowers and shallots. It is famous not only for this legend, but also for the fact that there are a number of boulders with some amazing fossils.

Tips for the tour

Easy route of great geological interest and landscape value. This was one of the favorite route of the Sissi princess and the Viennese aristocracy because of its majestic view on the Brenta and the Adamello-Ortles mountains; it is particularly evocative because of the presence of sea fossils and the rich variety of the mountain flora.
