Roadbike - Grigno - Passo Brocon - Description

For road bike lovers this is a tour not to be missed: a challenging route that starts from Grigno (262 meters) to get to the 1600 meters of Passo Brocon.
This route is one of the most beloved route for bikers. The first part, till Castello Tesino - also known as Strada del Morelo - is very picturesque because the road curves have been dug in the limestone rocks, which mark the underlying canyon of the Grigno river. We then reach Castello Tesino, a charming village with ancient history, where the tour becomes mostly flat for a few kilometers, before resuming the ascent passing through the woods of fir, larch and maple of Monte Agaro. Higher up the landscape turns into the pastures of the Brocon Pass, where there are several alpine huts and some hotel-restaurants where you can have a nice restorative break with traditional dishes prepared with local products, before returning to the valley. The return is along the same road.
