The Bosentino Plans 33 - Description

Excursion that takes place mainly on a dirt road, with wide panoramic views of Lake Caldonazzo and Valsugana. Other points of interest along the way are Castel Vigolo and the sanctuary of the Madonna del Feles.
The path, a ring, develops mainly on a beautiful dirt and shady road that rises between the fruit crops near the inhabited center of Bosentino to then penetrate between coniferous and deciduous forests. Once you reach the Piani di Bosentino you descend along the slope above Vigolo Vattaro passing through Castel Vigolo and the sanctuary of the Madonna del Feles. Along the way, wide panoramic views of the valley floor of the Valsugana, on Lake Caldonazzo on the hill of Tenna and its ancient vineyard terraces. From the numerous panoramic points along the first part of the route you can enjoy beautiful aerial views over a surprising agricultural landscape with apple trees that draw a chessboard extended to the entire alluvial plain created by the Centa stream. Along the way, there are several opportunities to digress through the woods to look for mycetes which, in season, grow among conifers. In the final part of the itinerary, other points of interest worth a visit are Castel Vigolo and the sanctuary of the Madonna del Feles.

    Church of San Giuseppe in Bosentino

    Departing from the Church of San Giupeppe in Bosentino continue along Via Migazzone towards the homonymous fraction after which, and following the indications, you will arrive near Maso Pergher where you meet two consecutive winding roads that lead you towards Bosentino on a road parallel to the one traveled already traveled. Once at Maso Tofoi in Bosentino continue towards the equipped area of ​​the Fratte Agricultural Park and following the winding road, go up towards Piani di Bosentino, located at about 1050 m altitude and 8.1 km from the departure. Then continue along the road that runs down the wooded slope to the Bivio Baito dei Foli (km 9.4 from the start) where the itinerary rejoins with itinerary 41. Due to the damage caused by the Vaia storm in October 2018 the path that leads to Castel Vigolo is no longer viable and therefore it is necessary to continue towards Vigolo Vattaro along a secondary road, which after a first flat start continues downhill and on an asphalt road along the Rombonoss stream: Entering the village along Via Filzi until to the municipal library building where you will find the indication for Castel Vigolo. Castel Vigolo can be reached by following Via 21 Aprile and Via al Castello in succession for a stretch of about 1 km of sub-flat asphalt road that ends with a short but steep climb. Once in Castel Vigolo continue on a dirt road to the sanctuary of the Madonna del Feles and from there on a paved road to the Church of San Giuseppe di Bosentino completing the 14.8 km of the route. On the ground the route is indicated with signposts of white-red color with the indication "33 I Piani di Bosentino" (33 is the itinerary number).

Possibilità di parcheggio nelle vicinanze della chiesa di San Giuseppe e/o palazzetto comunale.
