 Simple walk among the ancient chestnut trees
The route starts from the sports ground of Santa Caterina along a dirt road overlooking the Vallagarina and continue plunging through the fields and the ancient chestnut trees, medieval village of Brentonico

    Sport field of Santa Caterina in Brentonico

    Starting from the sports field parking of Santa Caterina, along the dirt road to the castle of Dosso Maggiore. Up to this point the path corresponds to the nature trail, which helps us with information boards to learn more about the flora, fauna and history of the area.
    After the ruins the trail continues downhill  to the left towards the town of Castione, you will find the tables signs showing will "path chestnut wings" and "Castione". Return by the same route.

Exit Rovereto Sud follow to Mori until you reach the village. Exceeded the country's traffic light take a left at the fork and follow the signs for Altipiano of Brentonico.  At the second junction into the village after the school turn right uphill towards Festa and then follow signs for the St. Catherina sports field.
