The Valsugana Cycling Path - Description
Directions
-
Start
Pergine Valsugana
This unique cycle way goes in parallel to River Brenta for long stretches. There are no particularly difficult steep stretches, thus the path is ideal for all kinds of bikers, and it also offers various resting areas, the Bicigrill of Levico and Tezze di Grigno, and many ice cream shops in the different villages which the path crosses. The cycle path touches indeed many villages, even Borgo, which offers many services and an info point. The cycle path furher reaches many other villages, which are a short ride away from the cycle path itself, always along River Brenta. In Pianello Vallon the cycle path enters the province of Vicenza and leaves Trentino. From here you continue to cycle along River Brenta, over various suspended bridges which mark the most narrow stretch of Valsugana. You then reach Ristorante Cornale, which serves as Bicigrill, and then till Bassano, along a secondary road, through numerous, pictoresque villages, as Valstagna, Oliero, Campolongo sul Brenta, Campese and Sant'Eusebio. You need to pay special attention along this stretch, because it is open to normal vehicles as well. -
