The white charm of Val Venegia - Description
Directions
-
Start
Pian dei Casoni
From the car park in Pian dei Casoni, take the forest road that leads first to Malga Venegia (also open in winter) and then to Malga Venegiota (closed). The route continues reaching a large basin. From here you continue uphill, with wide hairpin bends, until you reach Baita Segantini. A well-deserved stop in this enchanting place allows you to focus on the particularities of the imposing Dolomite walls declared a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site.
Return to the car park along the same path. -
end point
Baita Segantini
required equipment
Hiking shoes, hiking poles and warm winter clothes. Spare shirt, gloves, wool cap, sunglasses, sunscreen, water and snacks.
Tips for the tour
We recommend returning around sunset. The Enrosadira on the Pale di San Martino, with shades from pink to bright red to violet is a spectacle that literally leaves you speechless.
