An itinerary of intermediate difficulty, but without an excessive elevation gain, through the Brenta Valley in the heart of the Brenta Dolomites.
A mostly flat excursion that alternates between snowy trails and forestry roads through a forest of lovely European silver fir trees interspersed with open areas, clearings, and alpine farmhouses. The itinerary runs alongside crystal-clear streams of the Brenta Valley to a beautiful clearing at Malga Brenta Bassa, where there is a stunning view of the Dolomites and the west face of Crozzon di Brenta overlooking the valley.

    Prà de la Casa area

    From S.A. di Mavignola reach Prà de la Casa area, where you can park. Or starting on foot from S. A. di Mavignola, passing through Maso Doss (30 min) , descend along the path and cross the Sarca di Campiglio river. Walk on the left side of Val Brenta and gradually ascend to the Pinzolo-Campiglio Express. After short time you reach Prà de la Casa area (45 min). Continue along the forest road passing through a characteristic white firs wood; once left the crossroad to Valagola on the right side continue to Malga Brenta Bassa (30 min) from where it opens an amazing viewpoint on the Brenta Dolomites. Turning on the right side you get back in the woods, cross the Sarca river and reach Malga Fratte (20 min). From here, quickly and in descend, you return to Prà de la Casa area. Going down for about 200 meters along the road at the bottom of the valley and after crossing the bridge, turn right, taking the forest road that leads to the Plaza farms. After crossing the Plaza meadows and pastures, cross the Val Brenta road and take the path that leads to the B&B Maso Pin.

From Sant’Antonio di Mavignola, to the south of Madonna di Campiglio, follow the signs for “Val Brenta”. Take the downhill road across the bridge over the Sarca river to Prà della Casa. Park your car here and continue on foot.
Parking is available free of charge in Prà de la Casa.
