Trail n. 2 Ritorto - Malga Ritorto - snowshoeing itinerary - Description
Directions
-
Start
From Madonna di Campiglio at the end of Adamello street (Pappagallo restaurant)
Head south from the pharmacy in the center of town and continue along Via Adamello until you reach Pizzeria Pappagallo. Past the pizzeria, take the trail that runs flat (initially) from the far end of the parking area. When you reach the first crossroads (15 min.), turn right and follow the signs for Malga Ritorto as the trail begins to rise. Once you’ve completed the first steep climb through ample switchbacks in the trail (which is the most difficult section of the itinerary), you will reach a flatter area at an altitude of 1,660 meters (5,450 ft, 20 min.). From here the trail is less steep as you head south along a series of false flats to a clearing beneath Malga Ritorto (20 min.). Continue straight to the south and back onto a forestry road of accessible steepness, which will take you to your destination at an altitude of 1,746m (5,728 ft). Follow the same route in reverse to get back to Madonna di Campiglio. -
