Up to the peak of Dosso di Costalta - Description

This classical hike through the lush forest of the Plateau, takes you to the top of one of its landmarks: Dosso di Costalta
From up there, the view is wonderful and extends from the eastern end of the Brenta Dolomites' arch (westwards) to the Lagorai range and the Dolomites (eastwards). From the top, you can either go back the way you came or continue past Malga Cambroncoi to Passo del Redebus.

Directions

  • Start

Miola village - Baselga di Piné

From Miola take the trail signposted 'SAT E 404' to Bivacco della Casara (1658 m). During this first stretch, you repeatedly switch from a dirt road to a path which keeps crossing it. From Baracca della Casara (a welcoming refreshment point), the path (still No. 404) climbs in wide hairpin bends. After an approximately 300-m ascent which can be completed in about half an hour, you reach the gently shaped summit. If you'd rather not go back the way you came, you can continue past Malga Cambroncoi and round Sas de Sant'Orsola to Passo del Redebus. From there to Baselga, it's approximately 10 km, first downhill, then on flat terrain.

  • end point
