Val Venegia Ring - Description

Easy hiking at the foot of the Pale di San Martino north chain

Directions

  • Start

Passo Rolle – departure at the ex Segantini chair lift

From the Passo Rolle, we climb up to Baita Segantini reaching 2,170 m above sea level. From here, we go down to the wide Val Venegia following the hairpin turns of the forest road up to the Pian della Vezzana. We then continue on flat ground to the Malga Venegiotta (closed in winter) and continue to go down to Malga Venegia, open in winter (info and reservations: 348 062 7886). We proceed down to Pian dei Casoni and, after crossing the parking lot, we take the bridge to the left. Going up, we follow the signs for Malga Juribello; initially the trail is narrow, but it then becomes wider and, through a beautiful forest, it exits onto the wonderful meadow pastures. Still climbing, we continue along the forest road towards south-east, (the point of reference is the electric line trellises). We then arrive at the Castellazzo chairlift and from there we’re shortly back to the starting point.
