Valpiana - Cascata Sas Pisador (Waterfall) - Description

A walk in Valpiana, this enchanting relaxing location in Val di Sole. 
This pleasant walk will bring you to Valpiana, with its malgas or farmhouses, pastures and panoramic spots. The sky in Valpiana and in particular at Malga del Dosso has been declared by Astronomitaly one of the most beautiful skies in Italy for star gazing. 
This route is part of the Uno Di Un Milione project.     Ossana

    Close to the first hairpin on the road that from Ossana goes up to Valpiana, take the ‘sentiero de la lec’ or lake trail that in 30 minutes brings you to Valpiana, after a luxuriant enchanting wood of fir trees.
    Valpiana (1,221 m asl) can also be reached by car from Ossana. Continue along the forest road through the wide valley, alongside the River Foce. Once you get to Malga Valpiana (1,311 m) you continue along the path for the “Sas Pisador” Waterfall and the nearby rock climbing wall. At the fork with the path for Bivacco “Jack Canali”, keep to the right and make your way back to Valpiana, in this way completing an interesting circular route.
    In Valpiana there is also Malga del Dosso, accessible in about an hour and 45 minutes along an easy unmade track that you pick up immediately after the niche to Saint Anthony. From here you can enjoy splendid views of Val di Pejo. Return along the same route

Directions

self-arranged arrival
Take the S.S. 42 state road to Ossana and, once past the church of Santa Maria Maddalena, take the left-hand fork along the S.P. 202 provincial road. Follow this road for about a kilometre and park near the church, continuing on foot. Alternatively, you can reach Valpiana, following the directions at the crossroads.
You can park close to the church in Ossana and from there take the path that will bring you to Valpiana. If you drive to Valpiana, park there and continue on foot.

public transport
Public transport: You can reach the town of Ossana with the TRENTO-MALÉ- MARILLEVA train (download train times out and back), to the Mezzana stop. In Mezzana, take the bus for Vermiglio (download bus out and back) and after five stops, get off in Ossana. Valpiana is about thirty minutes on foot from the bus stop.
