Archeoweek autumn 2024

Autumn holidays with the Archeoweek! During the last week of October, the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology offers another school holiday week: this time, it focuses on the diet of our ancestors.

For girls and boys in early history, the technique of making fire was essential for survival. Equally important was learning how to make pottery. Both activities will be tried out by the children during the Autumn Archeoweek.

In the fired vessels, cooking recipes of our ancestors from various millennia will be experimented with. The inspirations for these come from the current special exhibition at the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology, PAST FOOD – 15,000 Years of Nutrition.

Period: Monday 28th October to Thursday 31st October 2025. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8 am to 1 pm. On Wednesday, an excursion to Colle/Kohlern. Return at 4 pm.
