Gourmet autumn: Wine tasting Weingut Franz Haas Winery
About the event
Every winery has its own story: daily life on the estate, tending the vines, working in the cellar and the harvest. This evening, we’ll be exploring the Weingut Franz Haas Winery and tasting its wines.
And the music adds a special touch to the evening, turning the wine tasting into an unforgettable treat for all the senses.
FRANZ HAAS WINERY:
Franz Haas has been producing wine since 1880 and has been passed down through eight generations to the first-born child of the family, who has the honour and responsibility of carrying the same name, Franz. Today, the winery processes grapes from 60 hectares of vineyards. The vineyards, which are cultivated sustainably and close to nature, are located in Montan and in the surrounding communities of Neumarkt, Aldein and Truden, at altitudes of 220 to 1.150 meters.
Franz Haas has always been recognized as a leading enthusiast and an expert of the most arduous, sensitive, and most satisfying grape variety of all: Pinot Nero. Various varieties belonging to the whole range of Alto Adige’s wines are vinified with the same attention. Another distinctive feature are the colorful and expressive labels, they are all the artwork of the famous Italian painter and architect Riccardo Schweizer.
