Sandwirt in St. Leonhard/S. Leonardo

The Sandwirt is the birthplace of the Tyrolean freedom fighter, Andreas Hofer. Today an inn stands on the location, with the farmhouse parlor of the old inn building particularly worth seeing.

- Coming from Merano/Meran towards the Passeiertal Valley, take the Jaufenstraße/via Passo Giovo SS44 to Sandhof, shortly before St. Leonhard/S. Leonardo
- Coming from the Jaufenpass/Passo Giovo towards Merano/Meran, take the Jaufenstraße/via Passo Giovo SS44 to Sandhof, shortly after St. Leonhard/S. Leonardo
- Coming from the Timmelsjoch/Passo Rombo towards Moos/Moso, continue on the Timmelsjochstraße/Via Passo del Rombo to Sandhof, shortly after St. Leonhard/S. Leonardo
