From Campregheri to the Torre dei Sicconi - Description

A short and easy walk to visit the archaeological area of the Torre dei Sicconi, to its garden and to enjoy a beautiful panomaric view over the Valsugana.
Following for about 900 m a comfortable dirt road on a slight slope, which crosses a beautiful chestnut forest, we arrive at our destination: The site of the "Archaeological Park of the Garden of the Tower of the Sicconi". The site is located at the top of a hill south-west of the town of Caldonazzo and archaeological investigations have unearthed the remains of a probable medieval castle and its tower. A recently recovered garden is the setting for the ruins. From the top of the hill, you can enjoy a magnificent view of Lake Caldonazzo, the Valsugana, the Valle del Centa and the Vigolana group. At the entrance of the site, there is the "Giardini della Torre" Farmhouse, open seasonally for refreshment. The return to the car park is just as easy and takes place along the same route as the first leg. The convenient dirt road allows a pleasant walk suitable for families with pushchairs in tow.
