This sophisticated mountain tour brings us to the prehistoric cultural place "stone cairns". Noone knows exactly for which reason these piles of stones have been built on this elevation and wherefore. In spring, the crocus blossoms on the meadows in this area are overwhelming, and in autumn the larch trees on the Salten show their most colorful side. Worth mentioning is as well the sandstone quarry of Meltina, which you will pass.
During this tour you will pass the following alpine huts, where you can stop and have a rest: Sattlerhütte, Möltner Kaser, Jenesinger-Jöchl-Alm and Lanzenschuster

If you come by car from Brennero, take the motorway A22 until the exit "Bozen Süd". Here you can take the highway MeBo in direction to Merano (SS38) until you reach the exit of Terlano. At Terlano begins the mountain road to Mölten.
