Sella Ronda road bike tour - Description
However, in recent years the Sellaronda circuit has also become a popular challenge for cyclists.
The twisty Alpine roads at the foot of the Dolomite peaks are like a dream come true for racing cyclists. The gradients on the circuit are mostly between 8 and 10 %, it is classed as moderately difficult. The asphalt roads are mostly in good condition, although there are small potholes on some sections.

Start
Corvara
The tour proposed here starts and ends in Corvara and goes anti-clockwise. From Corvara to Colfosco and continue to the Gardena Pass. Gradients vary, but sometimes reach 13 %. When you reach the pass, ride down to the junction with the Sella Pass. Take the Sella Pass. Proceed downhill until shortly before Canazei and wind back up to the Pordoi Pass. The descent to Arabba has more than 30 bends but is relatively smooth. Now for the last pass: from Arabba ride up to the Campolongo Pass and, after a 7 km long descent, return to Corvara.Other details: every year in June, the passes around the Sella group are closed to motorized traffic for a whole day and reserved for cyclists, during the sport event Sella Ronda Bike Day. -
