Berggasthaus Stallwies

Stallwies, in the middle of the Stelvio National Park, on 1953 above sea level is high up in the mountains. It belongs to the highest places in the Alpes where people live throughout the whole year. It is surrounded by alpine pastures and lark forests and the panorama of high mountains. The farm house is more than 680 years old. The Stricker family combines traditional farm life with local restaurant cooking. The junior and senior boss prepare the meals together. The restaurant has a warm and friendly athmosphere and presents a lot of home made meals as "Teigtaschen", "Speckknödel" and "Käsenocken". Only best meat is used for the meals. Meat from animals spending the whole summer on the pastures and fed with hand harvested hay in the winter.
