The church was first mentioned in 1418. The actual building was erected beetween 1880-1888 in the Romanesque style.

From Sterzing/Vipiteno or Brenner/Brennero to Gossensass/Colle Isarco and branching off further into the rear Pflersch/Fleres valley to St. Anton/S. Antonio.
