Madonna di Campiglio tour - Description

Easy round path in the woods around Madonna di Campiglio.
The route of Campiglio is a circular path around the village.
There are many areas where you can start or end this route, as for example: the Pappagallo restaurant, the arrival of the 3-Tre ski slope, the village center, the hotel Gianna in the Palù area.
It takes about 2-3 hours on foot for the whole route, but you can make the route in short stretches of paths as well.

Directions

  • Start

    The path has different accesses.

From Conca Verde, the park in the centre of the resort, reach the “Spinale” cableway and the Congress Centre “Palacampiglio”, above which the route starts. Follow the tar road for some dozen metres, turn left to “Casa delle Regole”, enter in the wood and downwards among the houses, in the street of Vallesinella. Cross the street, go down till you reach the Sarca river and cross it on a wood bridge.Go up the steep bank on the right orographic side, reach the plain street and then, cut through the wood behind the houses, go up to the main street.Carry on going up, at first along Colarin river and then, beyond the street in the wood that leads to Panorama zone, until you cross the “Sentiero dei Siori” path. Walk along this path, till the exit in Adamello way and reach the police station. Here turn left to the woods, go on, reach the “5 Laghi” cableway and, following a piece of “Canalone Miramonti” slope, reach the northern entry of the tunnel.Cross again the Sarca river and the “Pradalago” cableway, reach the way to Nambino lake from which you go up easily. Reach a flat path and then the ski slope that goes down from Pradalago.Go down, enter the tunnel, go to “Rio Grotte” from where, walking on the left of the path, you reach the houses and then the tar road to the resort. It is also possible to make the path partially, thanks to the different access points.

Tips for the tour

The route, easy and with a low difference in altitude, is particularly suitable for families with children or beginners. You can try it even if the weather conditions are not very good because you can leave the route in many points easily, reaching the village. Some stretches of the route are practical to move from northern Campiglio to southern Campiglio at the departure of the Grostè cable-car, avoiding the main paved road.
